Little Yellow House

Last week's class was on a busy street in Petaluma
that is full of homes both glorious and modest .
This little yellow stucco gem caught my eye.

Love the reflected light in the doorway.

  1. You handled the light so beautifully, Helen! Love those neutrals, too. Great painting!

  2. And I love the red roof. Gives the painting a link to the steps.
I was in Petaluma visiting Camille's studio while staying with friends in Sonoma. I was struck by how picturesque it was. Lucky you!

  3. Well done, Helen. I love these old Spanish-style bungalows that are so numerous in California. The enclosed porch is such a nice feature!
