Day Twenty-Five

I am posting the painting from Wednesday class on Wednesday! Amazing.
We were out at a beautiful ranch 8 miles west of Petaluma.
Red barns, an old Victorian home, chicken coops, majestic name it. Too much from which to choose until I happened on this little scene. Gorgeous old olive tree with a child's swing hanging from the low branch. Bright orange blossoms in the flower bed.
I started to capture the essence of the scene but I would like to revisit it.
The tree was very much a challenge.

  1. Congratulations - you said it was a challenge and yet you pulled it off. You captured the massive size of the tree in comparison to the tiny swing.
