Twenty Five

I did this painting mid week and then left it.......very safe, kind of boring so I decided to apply a palette knife and see what would happen. My hat goes off to those who master the technique. I did love how I achieved more depth and movement but also came to a full understanding of how complex of an instrument the palette knife can be.I also solved the safe and boring part!  Once again, the view from my studio.

  1. The final result is good though Helen and that's what matters. So you struggled, but remember when you first held a brush and how you used it to what you can do with it now? I think the painting knife can be a great addition, and remember...practice makes perfect! You are so talented I believe you could do anything you set your mind to.

  2. Thank you. This challenge has certainly shown how determined we all can be. Just got home from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.....great day. More inspiration and that's a good thing! Practicing tomorrow.
